Included in this series are public gardens and walkways which reflect the influence of the gardener's hand at creating these un-natural/natural landscapes. The customary perfection can be unnerving. The visual construction of a scene suddenly broken by a tree tied to a post, a water hose sticking out from under a bush or the sudden clash of manufactured nature in the form of a metal sculpture or glass flowers reminds you this is real, but not quite. Sometimes a scene like the five birders watching an owl seems natural, except when would five people find themselves watching the same owl in the woods?  What feels natural is little more than a tableau people become part of.
