Attributes of North American Domestic Life is a series about where we live, how we make our space into place, and how we communicate who we are through our spaces. It includes exteriors of houses, garages, small gardens and yard, as well as interiors. Most of these houses were for sale, and many of them would be sold only for the value of the land they stand on. Well worn, repaired and redesigned spaces, public and private tell stories about their history through changes and the markings those changes make. Some yards are overdone, over controlled by a plan, with everything in its place. Other seemed confused, but all reflect the lives of those who live in these domestic puzzles that reflect answers to the questions of living. They are most often solutions to problems.
