Early this morning went back again to the gardens. I can’t seem to stop this project! The sense of order and growing disorder (entropy) is right there on the face of this image.
Where the edge of the garden meets the woodlands.
Often my interest is in the transition of space (how does space become place?). These images are often found in the liminal edges of a space where the landscape transitions, sometimes from urban to suburban, sometime urban to woodland or forest. Here the garden, as place, bleeds into the woodland space, with a lone gardener working on transforming the land, slowly, but constantly, encroaching on another space.
