Today I finished, I hope, my two year project called Gilmore, a documentary series about a small area of open land under the Skytrain in Burnaby, British Columbia. This small area, once rich in pathways, birds and a green canopy was slowly destroyed and is becoming a multiuse tower. This work documented this change. Please visit and take a look at the entire piece at https://www.jimroche.ca/gilmore-photos
Near the fire line.
Up and over the fence, orange, California.
More time lately in people’s gardens, looking at how the structured growth has become uncontrolled as time passes.
Things stuck where they are, at least for a time.
In the distance, a line of trees forms, The watch quietly from a distance.
From a larger series on loss. This site is hidden away in a low mountainous, hilly area of forest. The love of the mountains can be clearly seen. At night the solar flowers give off a wonderful glow.
