LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY: JIM ROCHE: GILMORE STATION
Today I finished, I hope, my two year project called Gilmore, a documentary series about a small area of open land under the Skytrain in Burnaby, British Columbia. This small area, once rich in pathways, birds and a green canopy was slowly destroyed and is becoming a multiuse tower. This work documented this change. Please visit and take a look at the entire piece at https://www.jimroche.ca/gilmore-photos
Up and over the fence, orange, California.
From a larger series on loss. This site is hidden away in a low mountainous, hilly area of forest. The love of the mountains can be clearly seen. At night the solar flowers give off a wonderful glow.
The Green Throne. Coquitlam, British Columbia.
In the garden, at the end of the growing season.
Just before the end of the lake.
Watched over at night.
