Early morning, just after we changed our clocks in British Columbia for the last time. I find myself in the garden waiting for the sun. A little sunlight suddenly shows through a break in the clouds. It is only a few meters wide here on the ground. The sky is still dark. In the end, no snow. Just wind, cold nd two wild pheasants flying overhead scaring me to death.
Often, the forest here creates a wall rather than just a screen. You simply can go no further. Still, you can stand back and see the order and structure create itself each spring.

For the past 5 years I have been taking photos of this short, 2KM pathway through a small local bog. It follows a patter throughout the seasons, becoming disorganized and confused, and slowly finding it’s purpose.
